Programs
In partnership with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, we provide workshops at the Community Transition Center to inmates interested in becoming tutors. Once certified, they are matched with non-reading inmates to create learning teams. This program is successful both in assisting non-readers with increased literacy skills and in fostering higher self esteem in tutors.
Literacy Pros contracts with interested corporations/employers who have potentials students in their workforce that they would like to assist. Literacy Pros provides tutor training worshops to employees interested in becoming tutors.

Literacy Pros contracts to perform tutor training workshops for interested worship groups. Groups are requested to have a target student population before the trainings commence.

Literacy Pros of Jacksonville, Inc. partners with several non-profit organizations. We provide tutor training workshops, and their tutors work with individuals in their programs. The Women’s Center of Jacksonville, the Salvation Army and Prisoners of Christ are just a few of the non-profit organizations to whom we have provided
training.
We offer a family literacy session which provides training to tutors and students to encourage reading with their children. In addition, we offer other planned family literacy programs. Please contact us for more information.
